The CAMSS24IS Inspection Shelter is a tall, lightweight, compact, all-weather structure that is designed for the storage, maintenance, and inspection of large vehicles and equipment. Its unique tall, vertical sidewalls make this mid-size shelter a logical substitute for the Lightweight Maintenance Enclosure (LME) and much larger, round shaped shelters.
Heavy Duty
The CAMSS24IS Inspection Shelter measures 24' wide by 32.5' long. It is 14' tall at the eaves and is over 17 feet tall at the peak.
Quick Set-up Portable Building
A logical assembly sequence makes set-up fast and easy. A crew of 6 personnel can assemble a complete CAMSS24IS, with end panels, doors, extreme weather kit, electrical system, and floor, in less than 2 hours with the tools and ladder provided.
Numerous Uses: From Emergency Shelter to Maintenance Shop
The CAMSS24IS is designed for many applications, to include security inspection facilities, large vehicle and equipment maintenance shops, storage, and emergency vehicle parking. The tall, vertical sidewalls allow plenty of room to maneuver maintenance stands and equipment around the perimeter of any assets parked inside.
Complexing
The CAMSS24IS has a cover connector flap that enables multiple shelters to be connected end to end to create a longer shelter. Two CAMSS24IS connected end to end create a shelter large enough to house a full size tractor-trailer. Optional side and end personnel doors, with corridor connector flaps, enable the shelter to be complexed in any direction to other CAMSS portable shelters or TEMPERs.
HVAC Compatible
This portable building is equipped with a set of 18' HVAC ports on each side that are compatible with standard Mil-Spec ducts. A pass-through port allows electrical lines or hoses to be installed through the cover without compromising the integrity of the shelter.
Climate Control Capable
The optional Extreme Weather Kit includes a ruggedized liner system that creates an attic space for efficient and effective insulation. Vents at the peak of each end panel allow for a natural flow of air from between the liner and the cover. The drum-tight fit of the cover assists in controlling the internal environment from extreme ambient temperatures of -55 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit with a full solar load.
Efficient Airflow
The CAMSS24IS may be equipped with a spot cooling plenum for easy control of airflow. The quick connect plenum installs at the center of the shelter, out of the way of everyday activities. The shelter is compatible with multiple environmental control units.
